Syngenta GroupSyngenta Group is expanding and upgrading its global innovation and supply chain network, marking two major milestones in China.

In Nantong, Jiangsu Province, the company has inaugurated one of its largest formulation plants worldwide. This facility will serve as the flagship Asian manufacturing base, specializing in high-efficiency, eco-friendly crop protection and seed treatment solutions.
In Shanghai, Syngenta Group has also broken ground on a new Crop Protection Innovation Center focused on AI-enabled, future-oriented agricultural research?—?spanning novel molecules, biologicals, soil health, sustainable chemistry, and rice innovation. When complete, this will become the company's third crop protection innovation center globally, joining its world-class sites in Stein, Switzerland and Jealott's Hill, UK.
Together, these investments reflect how the company is accelerating agricultural innovation —?connecting China's on-the-ground farming challenges with Syngenta's global scientific expertise to deliver solutions at scale and with speed, strengthening food security for growers across the region and beyond.
China is the world's largest consumer market for agricultural produce?—?and an increasingly pivotal hub for agricultural innovation and scaling discoveries. Tapping into this market and talent pool strengthens the company's local capabilities in China and Asia, while enhancing the value it delivers to growers worldwide.
